SUMMARY:

Masters is seeking an experienced golf coach to help lead the golf program. We are part of two competitive leagues in the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) and the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS).  In addition to these two competitive leagues, we also compete in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC).  The ideal candidate will continue to foster excellence through hard work, positivity and enjoyment while building a foundation of trust with athletes, families and the Masters community. They will look to utilize our top-notch facilities, including outdoor/indoor hitting space, a FlightScope simulator, newly renovated strength room, a fully equipped cardio room and our home course which is Ardsley Country Club.   

• This is a part time position from February 19, 2026 through May 21, 2026 
• Requires 10 – 15 hours per week in season and out-of-season responsibilities as described below. 
• Practices are Monday through Friday 3:45-5:45pm and Saturday mornings with contests during the week and on Saturdays

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Attend all program/Department events and meetings
• Assist in creating and implementing appropriate practice plans and game strategies for each student-athlete’s stage of development.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and school community members
• Effectively communicate with student-athletes, parents and all pertinent constituencies
• Provide positive and constructive feedback/coaching during practices and competitions
• Implement and adhere to school/Athletics Department/league rules and expectations
• Positively represent the school at all pertinent league functions
• Strategically build and maintain program excellence through internal and external resources

REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to coach during the dates and hours listed in the above summary.
• Prior golf coaching experience and/or a high level of playing experience
• Have a sound knowledge of the sport specific rules and regulations as per USGA
• Have strong leadership skills to motivate and develop student athletes
• Ability to facilitate a positive, comprehensive, and competitive program
• Able to travel to all away competitions
