Essential Functions:

Serve as an active member of the Care Team, meeting regularly with classroom teachers to review and support students’ academic, social, and emotional needs.
Collaborate with teachers to identify emerging concerns, strengths, and patterns that may impact student learning or well-being.
Help design and monitor student support plans and accommodations in partnership with teachers and school leadership.
Teacher Partnership & Capacity Building
Support teachers in understanding and implementing student accommodations and learning supports within the classroom.
Provide guidance, resources, and modeling of best practices related to differentiation, executive functioning supports, and inclusive classroom strategies.
Serve as a thought partner to teachers as they problem-solve challenges and celebrate student growth.
Assessment & Screening
Conduct literacy and math screeners as needed and help interpret results for teachers and families.
Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing student data to inform instructional and support decisions.
Family Communication & Collaboration
Meet with parents as needed to discuss student progress, support plans, and recommendations.
Partner with families in a manner that is empathetic, collaborative, and solutions-oriented.
Help families understand the purpose of accommodations, interventions, and screening data.
Coordination of Services

Serve as a liaison between outside providers and school staff, ensuring clear communication and alignment with school practices.
Maintain organized and confidential records related to student support services.
Additional Responsibilities
Stay current on research-based practices related to student support, learning differences, and child development.
Participate in professional development and training related to student support, safeguarding, and school initiatives.
Contribute positively to the culture and mission of Wesley Prep.

Alignment with Wesley Prep’s mission of inspiring confident and joyful learners guided by curiosity, character, and purpose.
Adaptability & Teamwork: Work flexibly with diverse classroom needs and collaborate with teaching teams.
Physical Stamina: Ability to sit, kneel, and actively participate in a dynamic classroom environment with young children.
