All Saints Academy was founded in 1966 as St. Paul's Episcopal Parish School under Father Gilbertson and Father Sturrup of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church. The school did not adopt its current name until 1993, when the middle and upper school portions of the facility were added, extending the grades served to grade twelve.

Position Summary 

All Saints Academy, an independent, Episcopal school in Winter Haven, Florida, is seeking a full-time Lower School teacher who will provide comprehensive instruction for Lower School students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and implement the grade-level curriculum while collaborating with grade-level teaching partners and enrichment teachers. 
• Utilize innovative and flexible pedagogy to support the diversity of abilities within the classroom as well as the students’ cognitive, social, emotional, and physical needs.
• Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion by creating a positive classroom environment in which all students feel safe and respected by both the teacher and peers. 
• Practice thoughtful, respectful, and effective classroom management techniques that support active learning and promote responsibility and self-regulation. 
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress and provide strategic interventions and appropriate challenges for students as indicated.
• Communicate and collaborate with parents to support students’ growth. 
• Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community members.
• Commit to participating in blended learning or distance learning models (as needed), which includes both online and/or classroom instruction and interaction with students (Operational knowledge of Google G-Suite and related applications). 
• Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources, and meetings in an effective and timely manner.
• Work collaboratively as a part data-informed team.
• Contribute to community-wide responsibilities and supervisory duties as assigned. 
• Take on additional community roles such as sponsoring clubs, coaching, chairing, and/or assisting in school-wide initiatives as a member of a supportive, collaborative learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Elementary Education is preferred)
• Experience in an independent school preferred
• Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience with Lower School-age children
