The Savannah Country Day School is seeking Upper School Learning Support Testing Assistant candidates for the 2026-2027 academic year. Under the general supervision of the Head of Upper School and Director of Learning Support, the Learning Support Testing Assistant supports the Upper School Learning Support Specialists and supervises testing with accommodations for students with disabilities in the Learning Support testing area. Qualified candidates should have a passion for working with neurodiverse learners and a conviction that all students can achieve when given the proper support.
Typical duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Communicating with Learning Support Specialists and classroom teachers to understand each test requirement and student accommodations.
Monitoring and assisting students with the online accommodations request form and dashboard.
Following Learning Profile recommendations to plan and correctly administer assessments with accommodations for disabilities.
Gathering, organizing, and administering assessments according to student testing schedules and testing room protocols.
Maintaining a positive, calm, and orderly testing environment.
Completing set up and troubleshooting assistive technology and testing technology, such as read-aloud accessibility, screen-locking apps, and online testing apps.
Communicating professionally and effectively with classroom teachers to ensure student understanding of test requirements and to problem-solve during testing.
Maintaining all assessments in a locked, secure location at all times.
Following all testing protocols and supervising testing to ensure academic integrity.
Maintaining records of completed assessments, timing, and documenting any issues with testing.
Assisting with LSP classroom coverage and study hall supervision as needed.
Attending team meetings and relevant training as assigned.

Physical Demands: Work is typically performed in a classroom or office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings. The employee occasionally lifts or carries objects of a light-medium weight, up to 25 pounds. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes.

Required Qualifications:
Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working with adolescents in a learning support or special education setting.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Competency in using technology applications, with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Exceptional organizational skills, with an ability to create and follow classroom procedures and policies
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to interact effectively with students, faculty, staff, and parents.
Ability to function collaboratively with Upper School teachers, and as part of the Learning Support team.
Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and the confidential handling of all student records and school materials.
Sense of humor, flexibility, and a strong desire to work with teenage students.
