Position Summary
Bancroft School seeks a Middle School World Language Substitute teacher for a long-term/six-week position starting February 2026. This position includes teaching Spanish from introductory levels through Middle School Level 1.

Essential Responsibilities

• Teach 4 sections of Middle School Spanish (1) 6th grade, (1) 7th grade, (2) 8th grade
• Consistent and regular communication with students, parents, and advisors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish or related education field (Master’s preferred)
• Three to five years of teaching experience preferred
• Experience in and enthusiasm for implementing inquiry-based learning
• Proven ability to differentiate instruction
• Familiarity with best practices for equitable teaching and learning environments

• A willingness to participate and partner with colleagues on curricular and cultural initiatives
• An understanding of and care for students of different ages

Compensation
Bancroft School offers a competitive salary range for this position of $4,500 to $6,500, determined by the scope of responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational considerations. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, expertise, and internal equity. Final salary details will be provided upon an employment offer.
