Sonny G. Academy is seeking its first Director of Admissions for an immediate start during the 2025-26 School Year. We seek a dedicated professional who works well collaborating with the administrative team and can thrive with individual initiative. This role will serve as the primary ambassador for Sonny G Academy, responsible for managing the student journey from initial inquiry through enrollment and re-enrollment. This role focuses on identifying student-athletes who fit the SGA culture, managing the admissions pipeline, and ensuring a seamless, high-touch experience for families.
Sonny G Academy (SGA) was founded in 2022 in Austin, Texas, with the vision ofcombining rigorous academics, character-based education, and high-performancesoccer training to develop well-rounded student-athletes prepared for success in higher education and life.
Since, SGA has evolved into a comprehensive PK–12 program, offering aacademically rich curriculum for Grammar and Middle Schools and an online public partnership academicmodel for High School student-athletes. This approach provides the flexibility needed tobalance academics with competitive training schedules while maintaining a strong commitment to academic excellence and personal development.
Today, SGA serves a growing community of student-athletes from acrossCentral Texas and beyond. The school continues to advance its founding mission—to prepare students for success in academics, athletics, and life through a balanced focus on character and growth.
Key Responsibilities Include
1. Enrollment Management & Funnel Operations
Pipeline Ownership: Manage the full admissions cycle from Inquiry to Enrollment.
Family Liaison: Act as the dedicated point of contact for all prospective families, providing personalized guidance on SGA’s academic and athletic requirements.
Database Management: Oversee Blackbaud CRM , ensuring all applicant data is accurate, follow-ups are automated/timely, and enrollment contracts are executed.
Admissions Committee: Lead the evaluation process, collaborating with the Head of School and Director of Soccer Programs to determine student fit.
2. Outreach & Recruitment (Relational)
Feeder School Relations: Connect with local private and public elementary/middle schools to position SGA as the premier destination for high-performing student-athletes.
Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain deep relationships with local youth soccer clubs to ensure a steady stream of qualified applicants.
On-Campus Events: Organize and host campus tours, shadow days, and family information sessions.
Collateral & Material Development: Responsible for creating, building, and promoting all recruitment collateral and materials (e.g., digital look-books, inquiry packets, event flyers, and presentation decks) to support the recruitment process and ensure a consistent brand message.
3. Retention & Data Analysis
Re-enrollment Strategy: Partner with the Head of School to manage the annual re-enrollment process for current families.
Reporting: Provide monthly reports on enrollment yield, attrition rates, and demographic trends to the leadership team.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes
3–5+ years in admissions, recruitment, or high-end relationship management.
Personable and warm approach to relationship building.

Must understand the demands of a high-performance athletic lifestyle.
