Part-Time Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Learning Specialist who is able to work individually and in small groups with students to provide direct instruction in decoding/encoding, fluency, reading comprehension, morphology, writing, math, and study skills. Additionally, the Learning Specialist will be able to assist students in transferring taught skills to content area material. The successful candidate should have training and experience working with students who have language-based learning disabilities, as well as experience teaching students with executive functioning vulnerabilities. A Masters degree in Special Education and/or certification in Orton-Gillingham (or Orton-Gillingham based approach) is preferred.
Position Details:
- Caseload will include students from grades K through 6
- Caseload is flexible depending on grade levels and skill areas taught
