TMI invites applications for a part-time position as an Upper School Math Instructor. The role begins in early August 2024 and concludes at the end of the school year in May. Most importantly, outstanding candidates will be considered for a full-time role for the 2025-2026 academic year, contingent upon enrollment.
Primary Responsibilities
Teach two sections of Precalculus, and one each of Algebra I and Algebra II.
Fulfill additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Willingness to actively participate in and contribute to extracurricular activities, including athletics, residential life, or club programs.
Required Expertise in Mathematics
Proficiency in a range of mathematical topics, particularly precalculus and algebra.
Experience with innovative teaching strategies and curriculum development tailored to diverse learning styles.
Ability to integrate technology effectively in math instruction.
Skills in guiding students in critical thinking and problem-solving in mathematics.
Experience in assessing student progress with various methods and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
Commitment to ongoing professional development in math education.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Math, Education, or a related field; a focus or concentration in Math is preferred.
Open to candidates with various levels of teaching experience, from recent graduates to seasoned educators.
