Job Overview: Seacrest Country Day School in Naples, Fl is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Versity Cross Country Assistant Coach to join our athletic department.  The ideal candidate will support the Head Coach in all aspects of the cross country program, ncluding training, mentoring, and guiding student-athletes to achieve their full portential both on and off the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Coach in developing and implementing training programs and practice schedules that align with the team's goals and objectives.
• Provide instruction and feedback on running techniques, endurance training, and race strategies.
• Support student-athletes in setting and achieving personal and team performance goals.
• Attend all practices, meets, and team events, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes sportsmanship, team work, and personal growth.
• Assist in organizing and supervising team travel, including transportation, accommodations and meals.
• Help manage and maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring they are safe and in good condition.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team activities, schedules, and expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience in cross country or a related spor, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.
• Strong knowledge of corss country training techniques, race strategies, and conditioning.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve their best.
• Commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
• Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet all school and state requirements for coaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Experience running cross country competitively.
• Knowledge of nutrition and injury prevention for long-distance runners.
