The Senior Accountant position at St. Paul's School is a key role within the Business Office department, reporting directly to the Director of Finance. This full-time, full-year position plays a crucial role in supporting financial planning and budget analysis across various departments, programs, and initiatives. The primary responsibilities include analyzing and accounting for the School's endowment gifts, income allocations, and distributions. Additionally, the Senior Accountant is responsible for monitoring daily cash activity and related reconciliations. This position also involves working on diverse projects such as system implementation, workflow automation, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports, audit workpapers, and Committee presentation materials. Endowment accounting, cash oversight, accounting analysis, reporting support, and insurance management are among the core responsibilities of this role.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience. Strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships at all levels, organizational skills, and proficiency in Excel are essential.
