AES Community Partnership and Service Specialist is a catalyst to support the American Embassy School in cultivating responsible, compassionate global citizens through authentic opportunities within and beyond the school community. The specialist collaborates across school divisions to support a meaningful program with the implementation of service, community, and service-learning projects by establishing reciprocal partnerships with local and global community members.
Attributes, Qualifications and Experience: • Education: A college degree and appropriate and relevant skills commensurate with the outlined performance responsibilities. • Prior experience: Demonstrated experience in schools preferred, community liaison, and ideally the coordination of substantial and diverse programs. • Experience working effectively with, building strong relationships with, and prioritizing the needs of diverse communities. • Prioritize among competing goals, and multi-task effectively. Demonstrate strong management of time and pacing. • Manage uncertainty, demonstrate resilience, resolve, and flexibility in the face of change. • Have experience in collecting qualitative/quantitative evidence to inform decisions. • Engage in communication campaigns, social media, newsletters, speaking at community events, etc. Hindi language proficiency would be an advantage. • Deeply understand how to build and maintain effective partnerships with organizations and schools within the local and Indian context • Demonstrate ability to build and nurture community • Demonstrate initiative and creativity • Treat all community members with dignity and respect • Demonstrate a deep understanding of ways to build effective and meaningful relationships with all stakeholders
