Long Trail School (LTS) is looking for an English instructor who is passionate about teaching, relates well to adolescents, and can contribute to the overall school community, reinforcing the school’s mission and values.

LTS seeks a teacher who can actively engage students in the learning process, providing a student-centered experience based on best teaching practices. The campus has an abundance of natural resources to utilize as a classroom space and many relationships in the surrounding community for experiential learning opportunities.  LTS desires a creative, dynamic individual who can share their passions with our students as we strive to provide them with rich, powerful educational experiences in and out of the classroom.

A strong candidate will have excellent subject expertise in English/Language Arts, experience teaching high school students, interest in working on a teaching team, and a thorough understanding of the developmental needs of high school students.  At LTS, we believe that building a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for students is an essential part of their learning and development. Teachers are expected to set clear academic and behavioral expectations for students to create a positive culture of learning and help students fulfill their potential.
