Job Summary
The Academic Coordinator in the Administrative department provides high-level comprehensive administrative support to the Associate Principals of Academics and Student Services and provides administrative project support across several areas in the departments.
This position is a full-time position that reports directly to the Associate Principal of Academics
Job Responsibilities
- Academic Council member
- Help prep agenda & meeting materials
- Draft minutes
- Manage Academic Council Schoology group account
- Prepare schoolside communication - Bright Arrow (transcripts/report cards/course schedules)
- Coordinates Course Catalog updates
- Coordinates Student-Family Handbook updates
- Graduation Coordinator/Logistics
- Coordinate the year end Awards
- Advance Placement Info Night
- Course Challenge Coordinator
- Provide back-up for front office & attendance - Tardy Slips/
- Assist in emergency drills
- Crisis Management Team member
- Participate in the life of the school through community and academic events
- Additional duties including communications and event support, as assigned
- Coordinate and manage department functions including the purchase and tracking of supplies
A successful candidate will possess:
- A minimum of two years of successful work experience in an office environment with demonstrated success supporting multiple administrative functions
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical functions
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects in tandem
- Able to maintain confidentiality at the highest level
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism in written and verbal communication
- Possess intermediate to advanced knowledge of G-Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Work, Outlook & PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented, highly organized self-starter, capable of taking direction but working independently and collaboratively with a team
- Ability to successfully exercise discretion and independent judgment to reach goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using a database and performing data entry projects accurately
- Familiarity with non-profit and academic organizational structure, highly preferred
