Catlin Gabel School in Portland, OR is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant for their Upper School College Counselors. In this role, you would provide administrative support to the Upper School Directors of College Counseling in serving the needs of the Upper School students and their families. Primary job responsibilities include various administrative procedures, project work, clerical, and reception duties for the Upper School College Counseling office. The work consists of cyclical and recurring tasks for which there are regular, established procedures as well as larger projects requiring greater creativity and initiative.
Success in the position will be evaluated based on the individual’s ability to support the Upper School in achievement of their goals, which includes:
- Tracking school application documents (recommendation letters, transcripts, etc).
- Scheduling and greeting college visitors to the Catlin Gabel
- Scheduling student and family meetings with counselors
- Supporting College Counseling events and event planning
- Assisting with additional administrative tasks appointed by the Upper School Head
Pay Rate: $26-$31/hour (Full-Time; 10-month position)
- High school diploma required; some college work preferred
- Previous office experience in a school environment preferred
