In the absence of the regular teacher, the long term substitute teacher is responsible for teaching a full load of Upper Learning Latin classes. (Mid October - December 2024)
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities include and are not limited to:
Teach/Facilitate five sections of Latin courses in Upper Learning.
Delivers curriculum, assigns related coursework and tracks student performance; evaluates programs and student progress (written evaluation-academic updates & progress reports and conferences)
Maintains safe learning environment for students.
Delivers thorough and timely feedback to students for essays and assessments.
Demonstrates an attitude of flexibility with regard to curriculum decisions in order to meet instructional needs.
Provides guidance for learning according to the lesson plans.
Work with students during Tutorial.
Maintain a safe, comfortable, and engaging classroom environment.
Collaborates with colleagues and seeks feedback in the spirit of continuous improvement.
Serve as an advisor to an assigned group of students.
Participates constructively and collaboratively in professional development, grade level, and department meetings.
Familiarity with school procedures and regulations.
Performs other related duties as directed by principal or assistant principal.
Embodies and advocates for the mission and vision of the school.
