SUMMARY?
The Greenhill history program requires students to enroll in yearlong, core courses in Global History (9th grade), United States History (10th grade), and two semester electives as juniors and seniors. This full-time position will involve teaching yearlong sections of Global History and/or United States History in addition to history and social science electives.?
This is a full-time, 10-month, exempt position. Some evening and weekend work is required.?
RESPONSIBILITIES?
- Teach four sections of History courses, including Global History and/or US History.
- Mentor twelve to fourteen students as part of a comprehensive grade level Advisory team.
- Engage in the life of the school beyond the classroom.
QUALIFICATIONS?
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in History minimum, Master’s degree is preferred;
- Have at least 3-5 years’ experience teaching social science courses, including world history, US History, European history, government, psychology, and economics; experience with AP Government is preferred;?
- Possess an ongoing interest in global history and cultures, including both non-western and western history, since the position may include creating elective courses that broaden the department’s offerings in those fields;?
