Lowell School, a progressive independent school in Washington DC, is seeking applicants for the position of Pre-Primary Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Applicants should possess knowledge of early childhood development and have a demonstrated understanding of the social, emotional, and academic needs of young children. This co-teaching position reports to the Director of Pre-Primary School.
Qualifications:
- Minimum CDA certification; Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred
- 3-5 years of teaching experience with children ages 2.5-4 years old
- Demonstrated experience with Reggio Emilia, Emergent Curriculum, and/or Montessori methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
