Choate Rosemary Hall is actively recruiting for an Administrative Assistant to support the Summer Programs office during their busy season starting in January 2024 through June 2024.
This role will have a part-time schedule of 26 hours per week, typically Monday - Friday, with some occasional nights and weekends.
Job duties include:
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and inquiries
- Collect, track, and file application and enrollment documents
- Upload materials electronically to student records
- Check queries and identify issues with applicant materials, etc.
- Read and provide written evaluation of student applications
- Contact students and families regarding missing application/enrollment materials and fees
- Update student decision status electronically, as applicable
- Assist in editing and proofreading internal and external facing documents and correspondence
- Assist in preparing for the arrival of Deans, Teaching Interns, Student Life Interns, Faculty, & Students
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree OR combination of college courses and related experience, preferred
- 1-3 years of experience working in an office
- Experience within a secondary school or higher education setting, preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365, Google Drive, Adobe Acrobat, Dropbox, & Zoom
- Experience or familiarity with database recordkeeping
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competency with the ability to interact and work effectively with a diverse, global community with warmth, tact, and professionalism
