Summary
Nashoba Brooks School seeks candidates for the full-time teaching assistant for the 2022-2023 academic year to teach middle school students in Grades 4-8. The successful candidate will possess the desire to work in a dynamic, student-centered school committed to continuous learning and excellence in 21st century education. A teacher at Nashoba Brooks models the mission of the School to create a student-centered, mission-driven learning environment for students.
Responsibilities
Nashoba Brooks School assistant teachers:
- Partner with lead teachers to support classroom instruction.
- Potential to lead teach (plan and facilitate) a section of humanities or reading, as dictated by the School’s programmatic needs and candidate’s background experience.
- Support students in transitions throughout the academic day.
- Provide supervision for students during lunch, recess, and activities.
- Facilitate or assist with more than one student activity or program.

Qualifications
- B.A. degree required.
- Experience working with students in Grades 4-8.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate directly, effectively, respectfully, and constructively with people of all ages.
- Strong problem solving and project management skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning at both the individual and institutional level, including the ability to receive and grow from constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to working with diverse populations.
- Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues.
