WORK LIFE BALANCE: In addition to a ten-month school year during which our staff are offered on average 33 days off (approximately 7 weeks) for scheduled holidays and school breaks, we provide generous preparation periods throughout each week, limiting the number of after work hours you will need to work — so that you can live the life you wish for — inside and outside of our school. Additionally, our students are dismissed midday each Friday in order for you to meet with your team and division, as well as plan, and prep.
EXTRAS You can build a private practice or tutor onsite during after school hours at low-cost reduced rates, available only to our Quad Prep staff.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Development and Fundraising Manager works closely with the Director of Development and Communications and will support the fundraising efforts of The Quad Preparatory School by assisting in the planning, execution, and management of various development and fundraising activities. This role involves coordinating events, managing donor databases, preparing reports, and facilitating communication with donors and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be warm, collaborative, detail-oriented, possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and have a passion for the mission of Quad Prep.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Development & Fundraising:
Assist in the design and implementation of comprehensive fundraising strategies including annual giving campaigns, major gifts, grants, and special events.
Monitor and report on fundraising performance metrics. Analyze data to assess campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Create powerful content for engaging individual donors, including creating major gift proposals, appeals, donor reports, and acknowledgements.
Coordinate and manage development events, including logistics, invitations, sponsorships, execution, and follow-up
2. Donor Relations:
Conduct prospect research to identify potential donors.
Cultivate and steward relationships with current and potential donors.
Develop tailored communication strategies to engage and retain donors.
Manage donor acknowledgment and reporting to ensure timely communication, including donation receipts and impact reports.
3. Data management
Provide oversight and strategy for effective use of donor databases. Maintain and update donor databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Track donor contributions
4. Grants & Corporate Sponsorships:
Research and identify potential grant opportunities & corporate sponsors
In collaboration with the Director, prepare & submit grant proposals and reports.
Track grant deadlines and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
5. Communications and Marketing:
Collaborate with the Communications team to develop content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels
Work closely with and take direction from the Director of Development and Communication, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and priorities.
Create event announcements, and other promotional materials.
Assist in the design and production of marketing materials for development activities.
. 6. Administrative Support:
Maintain organized records and files related to development activities.
Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting for development projects.
Help to create and implement efficient administrative systems
Work Environment:
This job operates in an office setting. The office is located on the 33th floor of the building with an elevator. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the office and occasionally traveling to the Lower School and Upper School campuses approximately two blocks away.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is active and involves continuous standing, walking, and climbing stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items under 20 pounds. Typing is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time exempt position in an office and educational facility that is open eight hours a day. Occasional evening or weekend hours will be required. In general, though, hours are Monday-Friday 8am - 4pm.

Compensation is dependent upon experience and degree obtained.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications).
3-5 years of experience managing fundraising projects, or an equivalent, in a fast-paced, professional environment; preference for experience in a nonprofit role.
Excellent writing skills with experience developing and managing content for multiple audiences and channels.
Experience managing and growing relationships with stakeholders or supporters.
Attention to detail, a proven ability to stay organized, and an enjoyment of collaborating closely with team members to move projects forward. Willingness to take on a wide variety of tasks in a small nonprofit environment. Strong track record of attendance, punctuality, and meeting deadlines.
Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
Experience in event planning and coordination.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and donor management software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, DonorPerfect). Knowledge of Veracross, a plus.
