Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Knowledge and ability to teach core courses such as world history, US history, Economics and social science classes.
- Attending regular subject team meetings and weekly History Department meetings.
- Participating in various aspects of student life at Bentley such as advising clubs, coaching, or working with student organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in related field, Master’s preferred
- Experience teaching United States history and/or Economics or another social science elective.
- Experience in an interdisciplinary environment with an emphasis on group collaboration and use of technology.
- Experience in teaching problem-solving skills in addition to traditional core content.
- Ability and willingness to work with students in large and small group settings using multiple teaching methods to reach a broad range of students.
- Desire to continually examine one’s practice with the goal of improving student learning.
- Commitment to issues of diversity, leadership, inclusion, and equity. Candidates who reflect the broad range of diversity of the Bay Area are encouraged to apply.

- Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
- Experience in working with high school or college age students in an academic setting.
- Experience in innovative course design, planning, implementation, and assessment.

Pay Range:
Bentley uses a competitive salary scale, which takes into account experience, education, and skill level. The salary for this position ranges from $69,525 - $139,050.
