Berkshire School seeks a dynamic, intellectually curious, and student-centered Mathematics teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. Teaching Responsibilities

• Teach a range of mathematics courses in grades 9–12, with the ability to teach through AP Calculus BC and Linear Algebra or Multivariable Calculus
• Design lessons that emphasize conceptual understanding, multiple representations, and real-world application
• Assess student learning thoughtfully and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Participate fully in departmental collaboration and curriculum development

Community Engagement

Full-time members of the faculty are deeply engaged in the life of the School and contribute to Berkshire’s academic, afternoon, and residential programs. Responsibilities include:

• Serving as a student advisor
• Participating in two seasons of afternoon athletics or co-curricular programming (as a coach or program director)
• Living in a dormitory or serving as an adjunct residential faculty member
• Contributing to committee work and broader school initiatives

Qualifications

• Preferred: Secondary-level teaching experience; Master’s degree or higher
• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field
