Browne Academy seeks a middle school math teacher for 5th and 6th grade students. We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, and proactive educator, who is passionate about working with middle school students. Responsibilities
- Teaching four sections of math daily: two 5th grade sections and two 6th grade sections
- Serving as a middle school advisor to 8-10 middle school students
- Working collaboratively and effectively with peers to support student achievement and curriculum development and ensuring integration with other subjects.
- Using technology to facilitate instruction and enhance learning.
- Adhering to the school’s curriculum, preparing and executing thoughtful units of study designed to reach the different learning styles of the students in the classroom.
- Regularly assessing student learning using a variety of tools and means throughout each trimester.
- Maintaining regular communication with parents and administrators concerning student progress or issues
- Attending regular faculty meetings
- Being an engaged participant in the Browne community
- All other duties as assigned by the Middle School Head
Minimum Requirements
- Related bachelor's degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- Previous teaching in a middle school is a plus.
