Germantown Friends School seeks a Transportation Coordinator to work with divisional offices to manage transportation needs. The Coordinator will communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure that all constituents receive timely information regarding bus arrival and dismissal times and routes. This position reports directly to the Director of Security and Operations.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate records of each bus and registered riders.
- Updating bus logs and transportation records to reflect rider changes.
- Communicating with families in a timely manner regarding their student’s dismissal changes.
- Communicating with the divisional offices and ASPire staff about bus assignments and student rosters.
- Communicating up-to-date information regarding daily bus arrival and departure.
- Coordinating on-the-ground logistics such as cleaning, fueling, and relocating vans..
- Scheduling routine and preventative maintenance for the fleet of vans.
- Maintaining mileage records for each van.
- Managing communication with parents from the end of dismissal until any transportation problems have been resolved.
The ideal candidate has a high level of attention to detail. This role requires strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Knowledge of Veracross, Google Workplace, and other database systems is a plus.
