Over the following months, Hampshire Country School will be filling several positions on our Academic Team and Residential Life Team. We are seeking a Program Coordinator, Classroom Teachers (Talented and enthusiastic Math teachers, especially), Dorm Parents/ADL Teachers, and a hybrid role which helps bridge the gap between the school day and the dorm.
Dorm Parent/ADL Teacher: Dorm Parents at Hampshire Country School have two equally important functions: The first is to create a family-style living space in the dorm where students can feel at ease and learn basic self-care and housekeeping skills. The second major function of a Dorm Parent is to lead fun activities with a strong educational foundation, complete with opportunities for social connection and outdoor adventure. Dorm parents may be the first to recognize growth spurts both physical and developmental, they offer refuge on challenging days, they help students learn to speak up for themselves, and they model how students can become better caretakers of our learning community.

Hampshire Country School is a very small and highly specialized boarding school community comprised of faculty, students, and families who are joined in our commitment to provide misunderstood, twice-exceptional boys the chance to have the best school experience possible.
It is a place where bright students who have struggled to find success elsewhere can come and find a home filled with knowledgeable adults who care deeply about their experience, and cherish them for who they are.
HCS is a Country School with a working farm and nearly 2,000 acres of land. It is low-tech, analog, and moves a bit more slowly in many ways. HCS’s Teachers do not use screens to deliver educational programming.

We are all experienced and/or deeply curious about neurodivergence and twice-exceptional students. We are constantly educating ourselves and each other; sharing observations, exploring teaching techniques, and capitalizing on our student relationships.

Desired Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in an academic setting working with twice exceptional students.
