Salary Range: $65,500 to $72,800 annually
Reports To: Co-Athletic Directors
Job Summary: Work under Head Athletic Trainer to provide for the overall health care of all student athletes. Provide health services to non-athletes, faculty and staff.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for the care, management, and rehabilitation of injuries to athletes.
Responsible for the daily operation and supervision of the athletic training room.
Procure supplies and equipment for the athletic training room.
Counsel injured student athletes and document services provided.
Communicate with medical personnel regarding athletic injuries.
Maintain student athlete files.
Serve as the contact person for all emergencies on campus when nurses are unavailable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree.
Experience in the Sports Medicine field.
Current certification as an Athletic Trainer from the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) Board of Certification (NATABOC).
Must be registered or eligible for registry as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Hawaii through the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA).
Must possess CPR and First Aid Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Compliant with Continuing Education Units through the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
Competent in concussion and heat acclimatization protocol.
Ability to handle and plan for emergencies.
Communicate with students of all ages, coaches, and parents/guardians.
Ability to implement principles of rehabilitation and use of modalities.
