Job Description
The EdTech Director reports to the School Director. The EdTech Director is expected to collaborate with parents, students, curriculum leaders, and other administrators to align technology integration efforts to support school-wide goals and vision. The EdTech Director is expected to commit necessary time to maintain and improve excellent school programs and will be visible and available to colleagues, students, and parents.
As an instructional leader, the EdTech Director will ensure strong instructional programs with support and model the core values of the school to advance school-wide learning principles through effective technology integration. The EdTech Director will maintain effective communication with parents regarding student and school issues to support the successful attainment of learning standards. The EdTech Director will regularly help assess school programs to consistently meet current technology support needs and initiate changes to efficiently improve school operations. The EdTech Director will help establish and maintain a positive school climate.
Qualifications and Experience
Key Expected Results
- Maintain current and accessible instructional technology to meet teaching & learning needs
- Oversee management of school technology systems and information databases (i.e. Schoology, Powerschool, device utilization and optimization)
- Hold protection of privacy of information at the highest priority
- Facilitate professional development to support effective instructional tech integration and data management
- Responsible for program management, monitoring, and evaluation of department goals and objectives
- Provide technical and operational program support to all community stakeholders
- Work actively on networking and partnership building inside and outside the community
- Advocate for technology in the classroom and its uses for innovative educational opportunities in alignment with our school vision
- Facilitate continual growth in innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building including providing continual professional development opportunities for faculty and staff
- Responsible for school asset management (i.e. Macbooks, iPad, Cameras, other tech devices purchased under the tech budget)

Required Skills & Experience
Education
- Bachelors in Education or related subject
- Valid teaching credential
- Graduate degree in Education, Technology, Education Leadership or relevant degree/ certifications
Experience:
- Minimum of five years working full time in a school setting;
- Minimum of two years of experience working in an educational technology;
- Relevant experience in technology use, professional development, and systems management
- Program/project development and management;
- Familiarity with ISTE standards, Apple Ecosystem, SIS and LMS management systems.
