Lakeside School, an independent coeducational day school located in north Seattle, Washington, is currently recruiting for an Arts Administrative Assistant (.4FTE). Responsibilities: Special Events:
Oversee Event Plan for each event
Coordinate PG volunteers for evening events and GAP care
Coordinate meals for students on evening events
Assist with space preparation and clean up
Publicize events through internal communication methods (weeklies, The Bull, The Daily) and work with communications for external publicity
Equipment & Supplies:
Coordinate instrument repair and tuning
Monitor and request repairs and cleaning as needed
Coordinate as necessary to keep the teaching spaces in ready condition for daily use
Clerical:
Maintain Arts Calendar and space reservation process to avoid conflicts
Coordinate paperwork for music events including solo-ensemble, all state honor groups, festivals. This includes PG communication, registration, and student billing.
Reconcile credit cards
Miscellaneous:
Attend necessary departmental meetings throughout the year, as agreed upon in advance with the department heads
Additional duties as assigned by the department heads or division directors
Examples of Tasks:
Assist in material research, supply purchasing, budget tracking and reporting, and credit card reconciliation
Schedule meetings
Maintaining Arts Calendar in collaboration with performing arts
Event plans, exhibition support, promotion, and communication/marketing
Assisting in coordinating guest artists or field trip logistics, as needed
Assisting teachers with various organizational tasks, maintaining, and enhancing studios
Requirements and Qualifications Ideally, the assistant should be someone who is flexible, adaptable, loves to learn, and has the ability to learn a wide range of skills to support our department. Must possess strong communication skills and be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Salary and Benefits Salary Range: $21,006 - $28,358
