Marymount School is seeking Girls' Lacrosse Coaches in the roles of Head Varsity Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach for the spring season. An ideal head coach will build strong professional relationships with student-athletes, families, and colleagues, and promote a positive, enthusiastic, and collaborative environment for athletes. All coaches must possess a strong understanding of skill and strategy in their sport, excellent organizational and communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Practices generally take place on weekdays (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, perhaps Saturdays) with varying times between 3:00 and 6:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
Attend all practices and games.
Oversee daily logistics related to practice and game travel.
Attend all required athletic and school meetings and events.
Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with assistant coaches.
Manage coaching administrative duties, including attendance, roster management, game-day operations, score reporting, uniform distribution and collection, and team-specific events.
Uphold the highest professional standards and ethical behavior, adhering to Marymount's mission, AAIS league guidelines, and NYSAIS regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of relevant coaching experience, with a preference for previous high school and/or college playing experience.
Candidates must be CPR/AED certified and complete all necessary school paperwork.
