Career Center

The RI is responsible for the supervision of the dorm, one on one instruction and guidance related to independent living and interpersonal skills.  They work collaboratively with other Residential Instructors to facilitate the individual goals of the students. The RI acts as a mentor, role model, teacher, counselor and coach in all areas of the residential program and is expected to be committed to the success of each student especially in the areas of social and emotional development.

The residential program includes opportunities to design and teach a variety of after school elective classes ranging from athletic, art, and cultural activities to volunteer and community service programs.  Residential staff are also responsible for facilitating and overseeing weekend programming when on-duty, and supervising recreational activities both on and off campus as assigned.  

The Residential Instructor is not a live-in position, but does require that the staff reside within the dormitory periodically through the week and during assigned weekends. Residential Staff are required to work 10 weekends through the Academic School Year.
