Middle School Science Teacher Academic Year 2025-2026
Morristown Beard School seeks a dynamic and dedicated full-time Middle School Science teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will be skilled at constructing engaging, project-based learning experiences that meet and measure a range of student abilities and interests. This individual will also contribute positively to our school’s supportive and caring environment, fostering a respectful, equitable, and inclusive classroom culture aligned with the values of MBS: Personal Responsibility, Awareness of Diverse Perspectives, Engagement, Tenacity, Independence of Mind, Humor and Humility.
The successful candidate will:
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Middle School science topics
Design developmentally appropriate curriculum for students of middle-school age
Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and willingness to collaborate and communicate readily with colleagues
Communicate effectively with students and families about student progress
Identify and support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral learning needs
Responsibilities:
Teach 4 classes
Act as an advisor
Support the School’s activities program
Rotate through supervisory duties, such as recess, dismissal, extra help, etc.
