Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Math Teacher who is passionate about inspiring students to develop strong mathematical skills and critical thinking abilities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mathematics and innovative teaching methods to engage students in the learning process. Key Responsibilities ? Teach a range of high school math courses, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. ? Develop and implement lesson plans that foster students' understanding of mathematical concepts and real-world applications. ? Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement. ? Evaluate and track student progress, adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs. ? Participate in school activities, events, and professional development to contribute to the NYMA community. ? Collaborate with other faculty members to develop cross-curricular projects and support a STEAM-focused educational environment. Qualifications ? Education: Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field (preferred); Bachelor’s degree required. ? Certification: State teaching certification in mathematics (preferred). ? Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching mathematics at the high school level. ? Skills:
o Strong knowledge of math curriculum standards and best teaching practices. o Ability to integrate technology and interactive methods in math instruction. o Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. o Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
