Norfolk Collegiate is seeking a Director of Learning Services to support students with diverse learning needs in grades Pre-K to 12. Reporting to the Director of Instruction, the Director of Learning Services leads the lower school Learning Resource Program and middle and upper school Learning Resource Center, providing oversight and guidance for these programs. The Director is a visible presence throughout all divisions working to support faculty and students with a range of learning styles.
The Director works collaboratively with faculty and staff to create and implement student success plans for students with learning differences or those with identified learning needs while communicating with families. The director must have excellent organizational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with faculty in support of student learning needs.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher in education, special education, psychology, or a related field; experience working in special education or learning support in a school setting; and knowledge of special education systems and practices. Experience working in a diverse college preparatory environment is a plus.
