Northfield Mount Hermon School, an independent co-educational boarding school in Western Massachusetts, seeks an energetic individual to work with a team of college counselors under the supervision of the office director to advise, guide, and support students as they begin the college search process. The position is also responsible for teaching a college counseling course, following the guidelines provided by the office. This is a temporary position, January through May 2025.
Candidates must be familiar with boarding school life, demonstrate experience in equity and inclusion work that promotes a diverse community environment, and have a clear understanding of anti-bias education.
The successful applicant will have a bachelor’s degree or higher, 2- 3 years of experience as an admissions officer, independent counselor, or school/college counselor. Experience with Naviance and knowledge of Google Suites required. Prior experience working with secondary school students is preferred.
