Saddle River Day School is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Pre-K4 teacher to join the Lower School team for an immediate hire. This person will join the school for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. This teacher will co-teach Pre-K4 with another teacher.

Our teachers play a key role in curriculum design and work collaboratively with one another, both inside and outside of their department, to prepare a course of instruction that meets the social, emotional, and academic needs of each individual learner. We are seeking a team member who possesses a growth mindset and who can form dynamic relationships with students as well as colleagues based on positivity and collegiality.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate to develop a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the social, emotional, and academic needs of students in the Pre-K4 program
Plan and implement creative, hands-on, play-based learning experiences that foster early literacy and numeracy skills, fine and gross motor development, problem-solving, and curiosity
Support students in building independence, self-regulation, and positive peer relationships through consistent routines and responsive classroom practices
Use observation and documentation to monitor student growth and inform instruction and support
Clearly and effectively communicate with parents/guardians about their child’s growth and development through conferences and regular correspondence
Create a classroom community where each child feels valued as an individual and supported as a member of the group
Work collaboratively with colleagues and specialists to support the needs of all learners
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
Have experience teaching in an early childhood and/or elementary setting (other relevant experiences will be considered)
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $50,000 to $70,000 (final compensation will be determined based on experience and education)
