Saint David’s School seeks an Upper School Librarian, Grades Four through Eight for the 2024-2025 school year. Saint David’s is an independent elementary school for boys, located in Manhattan. Founded in the Catholic tradition, the school welcomes everyone.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage all aspects of the Upper School library, including the acquisition and development of its collection, circulation, digital resources, and online databases.
Work closely with the faculty to support the development of students’ library and research skills through curriculum integration and development.
Teach library and research classes.
Foster a love and appreciation for books and literature.
Manage archive collection, including cataloging, search, and retrieval.
Maintain effective professional communication with students, teachers, and administrators
Engage in ongoing professional development
Maintain strong, positive classroom culture and climate
Qualifications and Preferences:
Commitment to professional development
BS and MS/Ed.M in field related to Library and Information Sciences
Knowledge of and fluency with emerging technologies.
Commitment to boys’ education and character education
Excellent interpersonal skills.

Salary Range dependent on experience: $69,000 - $115,600
