Responsibilities Include:
Teaching Pre-K through fifth-grade music classes
Act as Musical Director of our Fifth Grade Musical Performance
Inspiring and educating children to develop to their full potential – socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically, and creatively
Creating a safe, supportive, mutually respectful classroom community that values the distinct contributions and abilities of each child
Implementing integrated, meaningful, developmentally-appropriate curricula in which students can explore and experiment through first-hand experiences
Creating opportunities for students to know themselves, to make good choices, and take responsibility for their learning and actions
Communicating and collaborating with parents and actively involving them in the life of the classroom and of the school
Communicating and collaborating positively and professionally with the Stanley staff and community
Collaborating with other resource teachers to develop curriculum, support children, communicate with families, and create an inclusive learning environment
Actively engaging in ongoing professional development
Organize and facilitate musical performances such as Grandpeople’s Day, Winter Concert, and the 2nd Grade Show
Participating in K-1-2 and 3-4-5 events, trips (both day and overnight), and activities
Assisting with supervision, such as carpool, recess, and lunch duty
Supporting other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications and Background Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Music preferred
Music Expertise: Experience teaching instrumental and vocal music

Professional Growth: A self-starting professional dedicated to improving their craft and modeling the joyful, lifelong learning we seek to impart to our students
Communication & Collaboration: Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with PreK-2 and 3-4-5 teams
Logistics & Tech: Highly organized with strong attention to detail, keeping track of a wide variety of dates, deadlines, and logistics. Familiarity and comfort with a range of technology, including Google Workspace and Microsoft software suite
Disposition: A positive presence, proactive team player willing to pitch in and help the school community wherever needed. Attentive to the needs of individual faculty and of the PreK-2 and 3-4-5 teams

Salary Range: $57,000- $85,000 depending on years of experience
