Our fast-growing bilingual, international school is located in Hoboken, New Jersey, one subway stop from Manhattan, New York. We currently enroll students from early childhood to 4th grade, with plans to add one grade next year.

We are accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB), are a NAIS model school, and are in the process of seeking accreditation for the elementary levels by the Spanish government. From Nursery through Kindergarten, children learn 80% of the time in the target language (either Spanish, French, or Mandarin) and 20% of the time in English. Starting in grade 1, children learn 50% of the time in the target language and 50% in English.

For the school year 2025- 2026, we are looking for an experienced and caring Pre-K2 (nursery) Spanish Lead Teacher.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing classes in collaboration with English language primary teachers, 
• Preparing weekly newsletters to parents,
• Preparing report cards and conferences,
• Participating in meetings as required by the Head of School,
• Maintaining assessment records,
• Keeping their classroom, as well as the School, tidy and presentable,
• Represent Tessa in alignment with its Mission and Core Beliefs,
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Native Spanish speaker or perfectly bilingual
• Holder of a Master’s degree
• 2 -3 years of work experience with nursery (Pre-K2) grade
• Experience with IB PYP curriculum preferred 
• Experience with dual language programs preferred
• Passionate about your job
• Able to plan fun and thematic lessons within programs
• Curious, enthusiastic, and positive
• Excellent level of English (for quality communication with the rest of the team and families)
