The Allen-Stevenson School seeks an energetic, dynamic, and visionary educational leader to assume the role of Head of Upper Division beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. The Head of Upper Division is the chief administrator responsible for the operation, strategic direction, and overall well-being of the Upper Division (Grades 5-8). Reporting directly to the Head of School, the Head of Upper Division is a key member of the school’s administrative team who provides inspiring leadership, intellectual vision, and unparalleled organization and management of all programs, faculty, and students.
This role requires a proven leader with expert understanding of the particular stage of boys' development spanning ages 10-14 and a strong commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity and character development in an all-boys environment. The successful candidate must possess superior interpersonal skills, serving as the primary relationship-builder, particularly in a collaborative effort to ensure family retention and sustainable enrollment management. This leader will be a key communicator of and advocate for the benefits of the all-boys, TK-8 model.
