Stuart Hall School for Boys, serving boys in grades PK3 - 7^th, the only independent Catholic school of its kind in New Orleans, is seeking a dynamic leader as its next Head of School. The successful candidate will be an experienced educational leader devoted to the school’s mission and programs. In seeking its next Head of School, Stuart Hall is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic visionary leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills who can inspire the confidence and respect of the entire school community. Stuart Hall’s Head of School serves as the school’s chief executive officer, raising the profile of the school in the community while fostering a climate of excellence and character growth among students, faculty, and staff. The Stuart Hall campus is located in the Carrollton Historic District of New Orleans. The neighborhood consists of beautiful tree-lined streets and stately homes. The Mississippi River is a dozen blocks to the southwest of the campus. The famous street cars of New Orleans pass in front of the school.

Stuart Hall is affiliated with the Archdiocese of New Orleans, is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest and is a member of the International Boys’ School Coalition and the National Association of Independent Schools.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess:

• strong faculty leadership, coaching abilities, and experience
• demonstrated skill in managing people and schools
• ability to promote the school
• knowledge of elementary/middle school curricula
• well-developed skill at delegating
• ability to organize and execute effective meetings
• experience/knowledge of understanding financial statements and budgets
• demonstrated fundraising experience
