Position Overview
The Special Education Case Manager & Test Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting students’ academic and behavioral success while ensuring compliance with individualized education plans (IEPs) and standardized testing requirements. This position requires strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for working with neurodiverse learners in a supportive, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management
Oversee and manage assigned student case load and IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to develop and implement effective accommodations and support strategies.
Monitor student progress, document services, and lead IEP meetings as needed.
Testing Coordination
Serve as the school’s primary test coordinator for statewide and internal assessments.
Schedule, organize, and administer testing accommodations for eligible students.
Ensure all test materials, data, and reports are handled with accuracy and confidentiality.
Behavioral Support
Support the implementation of positive behavior intervention plans (PBIPs).
Collaborate with staff to address behavioral challenges and model best practices in classroom management.
Track behavior data and assist in staff training for proactive behavioral strategies.
Meet with students and address behaviors as needed during school hours.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required (Master’s preferred).
Valid Indiana teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
Experience with IEP development and compliance documentation.
Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and neurodiverse learning profiles.
Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Behavior management experience.
Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, student-centered environment
