The MacDuffie School is seeking a full time math teacher for the 2023-2024 academic year and beyond. We are looking for a teacher with demonstrated interest in and experience working with students in the grade 6 to grade 12 range. MacDuffie's math curriculum extends from Pre-Algebra, through BC AP Calculus, and includes electives in Statistics and Computer Science.
A Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics or a related field is required. Experience working with international students is an additional plus. Duties include teaching 5 courses, acting as an advisor in the advisory program, participating in faculty development and administrative functions, and occasional weekend commitments for the boarding program.
Possible Department Chair role is available for qualified candidates. Housing available with residential work.
The MacDuffie School is a coeducational college preparatory school for boarding and day students in grades 6-12, located in rural Granby, Massachusetts. The current enrollment is around 200 students, with approximately 50% boarding. The average class size is 10, with a student-teacher ratio of 6:1. Our setting in the Five College area provides unique access to educational and entertainment opportunities in the towns of Amherst and Northampton.
