Join The Wesley School Development team in an exciting independent school environment! Make an impact by supporting donor cultivation, appreciation, and event planning. The Wesley School is poised to create a new long range plan and is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented person to help move the development priorities of the school forward.
This position is a full-time, exempt position that reports directly to the Director of Development.
Main Tasks include:
- Lead gift processor
- Enter gifts, pledges, action items, and donor information into the Veracross database
- Generate pledge reminders and coordinate collection of all pledges and matching gifts
- Work closely with the Business Office to ensure gifts are processed correctly and help with their monthly and annual reconciliation of gifts.
- Manage the operation, maintenance, data input, data integrity, and accuracy of all records for the Development module of the Veracross database.
- Coordinate periodic training of all Development staff on current and new applications of Veracross as needed.
- Manage the annual Jog-a-thon and Teacher Outing events — parent volunteers, event coordination, and fundraising
- Maintain organized files and documentation of Development information, ensuring they are scanned into the database when necessary
- Prepare data and materials for donor solicitation, reconciliation with the business office, and the annual report publication
- Create online donation and event registration forms
- Research prospective donors/donations; input, curate, and report on donor information
- Maintain guest lists, print name tags, prepare registration materials, check-in and other duties for fundraising and donor stewardship events
- Develop and generate database reports and provide data analysis for The Wesley Fund annual giving campaign, capital campaigns, overall gifts, constituencies, actions, and other purposes as needed on a weekly, bi-weekly and/or monthly basis
- Execute photography, video, and design projects for the Development and Communications departments
- Provide administrative support to the department including taking minutes during the Development Committee and subcommittee meetings, assisting with donor mailings, and other special projects.
- Participate in the life of the school through community and academic events, as well as assigned supervision duties such as carpool, recess, or lunch monitoring.
Additional Responsibilities include working closely with the Director of Development on:
- Creating solicitation and donor communication strategy
- Plan Development Committee agendas and meetings
- Research potential prospects
- Donor stewardship, including planning, creating, and distributing timely donor acknowledgments; help manage stewardship projects and events for various constituencies
- Planning and implementation of donor events
- Coordinate alumni fundraising and engagement
- Planning the biennial Gala & Auction, Jog-a-thon, Teacher Outings, and Generations Day
- Occasional evening/weekend work required
- Supporting the School and the Senior Leadership team
- Additional duties including communications and event support, as assigned.
Skills and experience:
- Bachelor degree required
- Familiarity with non-profit fundraising
- Experience with Veracross or comparable fundraising database
- Experience with GreaterGiving auction database preferred
- Experience with design or editing software preferred
- Team oriented and excited about collaboration opportunities

Expected pay range: $64,500-$70,000, depending on qualifications and experience
