MISSION: University Christian High School's mission is to provide a Christ-centered education that inspires students to achieve excellence in ACADEMICS, MORAL CHARACTER, and SERVANT LEADERSHIP. VISION: With Lenoir-Rhyne University as our partner in faith and learning, the goal of our joint effort is to create a world-class, highly-academic, faith-based college preparatory institution. Through classes that blend intellectual discussion, practical application of theory, visiting speakers, field trips, demonstrations, and seminars, UCHS leads the way with a strong and focused education that helps keep our students competitive. Through prayer, religious study, and community service, UCHS provides a uniquely positive environment that helps our students successfully navigate the challenges of an increasingly complex secular world. ACADEMIC PROFILE: UNIVERSITY CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL offers an advanced curriculum in partnership with Lenoir- Rhyne University. The school's location on the LRU campus allows students to use the University's athletic facilities, cafeteria, library, and classrooms. Ninth and tenth graders take Honors and some AP classes. Eleventh and... twelfth graders have the opportunity not only to take Honors and AP classes, but they can also walk across the street and take college classes from Lenoir-Rhyne University. These classes count for both high school and college credit. Any of the LRU entry level courses are available to UCHS students, providing a course selection more extensive than any other high school in the area. Students can select courses to explore career interests, and fulfill educational requirements, and many graduate with over 30 hours of college credit. We are the only accredited dual-enrollment parochial high school in the Unifour region. UCHS students consistently outperform national averages on PSAT, SAT, and AP exams and experience an outstanding acceptance rate at colleges of their first and second choice.
