Wooster School seeks a Middle School ELL Coordinator to begin in the fall of 2025. The position involves supporting Middle School ELL students via both English instruction and support in content area classrooms. The ideal candidate is familiar with international education, possesses an advanced degree, and has at least 3 years of teaching experience. Candidates should be curious students of the art and science of teaching and learning, particularly in the context of competency-based education and personalized instruction. Demonstrating flexibility, a strong sense of humor, and adeptness with technology is also essential. Fluency with Mandarin preferred.

The Role
Develop and implement an ELL support program for Middle School students in partnership with the International Students Coordinator and the School Learning Specialist.
Support international students, via ELL support classes and co-taught content areas classes.
Perform intake assessments with international students to determine their support needs.
Monitor student growth and progress.
Collaborate with our International Students Coordinator, as needed.
Collaborate with our school SEL team to meet the needs specific to international students living abroad.
Participate in student-focused programs such as: advisory, chapel, community meals, and clubs.
Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning through continued professional development.
Commit to designing culturally responsive curricula and experiences in collaboration with our Equity and Justice Center.
Salary & Benefits
This is an 11-month, exempt position. Salaries are competitive with local independent schools.
