Position Summary:
The Academy of Notre Dame is searching for a part-time, 10-month (August 15 through June 15) Assistant Campus Minister to provide support and guidance to the Director of Campus Ministry in building a strong faith community. The Assistant Campus Minister contributes positively to employee morale, maintains a professional, pleasant demeanor to all constituencies, maintains confidentiality on school matters both on and off campus, and supports the mission of the school and the Hallmarks of a Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur learning community.
The role requires a person who has a deep appreciation for the Catholic faith and tradition and welcomes the opportunity to educate students of diverse faith traditions. This person is tasked with ensuring a welcoming and dynamic culture reflective of both the school’s Catholic identity and commitment to serve students of all faiths.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Liturgy
- Schedule, plan, and oversee prayer services and liturgies in collaboration with Director of Campus Ministry
- Collaborate with music director, maintenance staff, and administrative assistant as needed
- Set up altar, lectionaries, banners, etc. for religious functions
- Maintain sacred vessels, altar linens, etc.
Faith Formation
- Assist with implementation of retreat programs for day-long retreats and Kairos retreats
- Support Director of Campus Ministry with retreat leader training for day-long and Kairos retreats
- Assist with spiritual programs for faculty and staff, trustees, families, and alums as requested
Service Learning
- Collaborate with Director of Campus Ministry to develop preparation activities and reflections to enrich service activities
- Accompany students to serve with partner organizations in the Philadelphia area

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Practicing Catholic in good standing
- Deep commitment to the value of independent Catholic education
- Experience in religious education
- Desire to advance the mission and philosophy of the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur
