Colorado Rocky Mountain School is seeking an Instructional Support Teacher to join our team of dedicated faculty members starting in the fall of 2022. This educator will support the academic progress of diverse learners in our college preparatory boarding school. The CRMS Instructional Support Teacher works closely with students, faculty, and parents with the goal of enhancing student success through direct intervention in small group and 1-1 formats. CRMS faculty also participate in our active program (including outdoor programs, sports, arts, and community service curricula) and contribute to our residential life program. This is, in all likelihood, a 1-year interim position.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Meet with students 1-1 and in small groups to provide targeted academic support
- Help students with their studies and homework
- Teach fundamental skill sets (reading comprehension, writing, numeracy, executive function)
- Provide appropriate academic accommodations, including assistive technology and classroom interventions, for students as appropriate
- Work with the Learning Specialist, teaching faculty, and Instructional Support Team, to support individual learners
- Instruct active program curriculum including trips, mountain sports, arts, or service work
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Foster inclusion and social justice, ensuring all students’ sense of belonging
- Take on other duties as needed
- Execute all duties in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree; Education credential preferred
- Demonstrated experience in the use of technology
- Organization/time-management skills
- Cultural competencies required to promote inclusion, equity, and belonging within a diverse cultural and social framework
- Ability to effectively engage with students in our residential community

Compensation package: Salary and benefits are commensurate with other Colorado boarding schools. Housing included. Salary range: $25,000-$50,000 plus benefits
