Summary of Position:
The school seeks an accounting manager who is involved in the community and dedicated to carrying out the mission of the school. This position is a full time, exempt, 12-month staff position.
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the accounting manager will oversee the accounting department, with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting and assisting with year-end audit activities.
Job Details:
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited for the position to:
- Maintain the general ledger, including all asset, liability and capital account entries
- Oversee accounts payable and receivables
- Coordinate financial aid accounts and tracking
- Assist with billing
- Enter month end and year-end adjustments
- Reconcile financial discrepancies
- Assist with audits
- Assist with accounting controls by recommending and preparing policies and procedures
- Assist with all reporting of financial position
- Data entry
- Assist Director of Finance & Operations as needed

Required Experience, Degree and Skills:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree and 3 years experience. A master’s degree or CPA may substitute for some of the required experience
- Positive attitude towards students, staff and faculty
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication (written and verbal)
- Exceptional organization, time management and prioritization skills
- Must have knowledge of QuickBooks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Tech savvy. The position will be the administrator for several reporting and billing platforms
