We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-time Strength & Conditioning (S&C) Coach to support the athletic development of youth athletes. The ideal candidate will bring passion for coaching, a commitment to athlete safety and growth, and a desire to further their own professional experience in the field. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with motivated young athletes in a structured training environment. 

The part-time S&C position reports to the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach and the Co-Directors of Athletics. This position is 10-months, beginning with August pre-season camps and ending in June. On average working 20 hours per week. 

Responsibilities Overview:

Work with Athletics Department with all aspects of our Sports Performance program, including but not limited to:

• Assist in planning and delivering safe, effective, and age-appropriate strength and conditioning sessions; 
• Teach and reinforce proper movement mechanics, lifting technique, and training habits. - Support athletes’ long-term athletic development through strength, speed, agility, and conditioning work; 
• Collaborate with the coaching staff to ensure consistency of training standards. - Help maintain a positive, supportive, and disciplined training environment;
• Monitor athletes’ effort and safety during all training activities; 
• Uphold organizational values and serve as a positive role model for youth athletes. 

Requirements:

• Must hold a current certification in strength & conditioning, personal training, or related field (e.g., NASM, NSCA-CPT, USAW, ACE, ISSA, or similar);
• Actively working toward the NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential;
• Prior coaching, teaching, or athletic training experience preferred (volunteer, internship, or paid); 
• Strong communication skills and ability to connect with youth athletes;
• Ability to foster a positive team spirit as well as individual skill improvement;
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain);
• A love for working with young people and a commitment to a diverse and inclusive community;
• Required passage of State of New Jersey Criminal Background check.

Hourly Rate Range: $23 to $25 per hour.
