Position: Head Coach for JV Lacrosse Location: Newton Country Day School, Newton, MA Season: Spring 2026 (early March to mid-May) Position Summary Newton Country Day School seeks a passionate and organized JV Lacrosse Head Coach to lead the team during the spring 2026 season. The coach will be responsible for planning practices, developing players, and building a competitive, inclusive team culture that reflects the mission of Sacred Heart education and Falcon Athletics. Position Requirements:
Lead all aspects of JV lacrosse practices and games with a focus on fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship, in alignment with the lacrosse program from Varsity to Middle School.
Mentor student-athletes of varying skill levels, encouraging courage and confidence, discipline, and growth.
Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, and the Athletics Department.
Demonstrate willingness and ability to drive school vehicles for practices and competitions.
Uphold and model the values of Sacred Heart education and the mission of Falcon Athletics, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all athletes.
Complete other related duties as requested by the Director of Athletics.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience playing or coaching lacrosse (high school or collegiate level preferred).
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
CPR/First Aid and SafeSport certifications (or willingness to complete prior to the season).
CORI background check and fingerprinting required.
